As far as a cry of revolution, well, it’s got a different ring to it, and quite literally speaks of inexpensive, abundant, clean energy. Also, it refers to our Open-Sourcing of the Blackwinter System. We’re not greedy, we can earn our own income off our own works, we don’t need or want Royalties…they just complicate things, prevent folks from using our technology, and that’s opposite to our intent. We meant for people to use this technology, to make things better for themselves and others.
So, we Open-Source Licensed.
Nice and Simple.
A long, sleepless night spent working revisions on the collector masts, to find a way to fit solar panels onto the trailing arms while also avoiding shadows from the rest of the structure. It’s do-able, with some slight tweaks and attention to angles of light as the sun traverses the sky, as well as squeezing in some added collection capacity to round off the per-Hectare collection ability to 30 Gigawatts.
We also looked at how we want to go with mast rotation so it can move to allow the solar panels to track the sun to best advantage, as well as examining ways to build the mast and collector arms for light weight and as strong as possible. Some of the aspects of making these things might seem simple, but we’ll be building the first ones here, in Alberta, where weather can be unpredictable and bring some formidaably severe conditions of cold, hail and wind bursts up to 100 MPH. So, we have to build these to handle the worst Alberta can throw, and not merely survive such but remain functional in and despite such severities. Wind, snow, ice, freezing rain, hail–all of these can and do come around and ice especially can play hob with mechanical drives such as worm-screw types that we’re looking at to rotate the mast. Hoar frost is another aspect of weather that can mess with the servos that allow the solar panels to track the sun.
Wind turbine overspeed we have a clever little solution for, so we’re unconcerned about overspeeding, however the solar panels will try to act like sails, so working around that kind of wind-loading is tricky, as if you have ever seen traffic light mounting arms in a high wind, you’ve seen how they wobble and oscillate. That is something that can make for serious structural concerns and MUST be addressed before the first mast is built.
There might even be ways to use that oscillation-wobble for some extra ‘bonus’ energy… Lightning strikes—we’re looking at ways to possibly harvest that energy as well. The masts will act like lightning rods anyways, and if we can find a means of safely collecting the energy from a lightning strike, well…why not? Also, it’s better if lightning hits a Collector Mast than some other structure that’s not really designed to handle such.
THE POLITICS OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY
Most folks think it’s all happy, nice, unicorns & rainbows in the Alternative Energy realm. It’s quite the opposite actually. The Bif Boyz were quick to capitalize on it, and really dislike any who threaten to upset their nasty little schemes. Every solar and wind farm to-date (aside from ours) relies on ingoing Subsidies to continue operating. None of them can support themselves financially.
In short, they’re Parasitic.
People pay for the subsidies via Tax dollars AND by way of inflaated prices-per-Kilowatt on their power bills. The folks who own those plants make a LOT of $$ off that scammery. OURS is a threat to them, Middle East oil, and also threatens to rip the floor out from under folks like Al Gore. OURS will operate Subsidy-Free, Un-subsidized, it will earn it’s revenue while offering energy at VERY competitive prices vs. Coal/Gas/Nuclear and earn enough to sustain itself and generate a healthy profit margin. You can see from the above how that’s a threat to the others, as it shows them up, exposes their scammery, and in eliminating Gigawatts of carbon-based generation it yanks the stage out from under Global Warming alarmists.
Too damned bad for them. Things change and they’re all just going to have to deal with that fact of life because we’re not backing down. This is Evolution, and they’re Dinosaurs…and we all know what became of the Dinosaurs, most couldn’t adapt and went Extinct. Same thing here.
Oil we intend to expose as how Obsolete it really is…and the Middle East oil cartels aren’t too happy about that.
